JESSI CRONQUIST

I remember the day my mom came home with the most beautiful animal I had ever laid eyes on. He was a blood red bay Welsh pony with a big bushy mane, long black tail, and a huge white blaze down his face. As we walked from the driveway out to the barn all I could say was, “Ain’t he Purdy mom? Mom – he’s so Purdy”. His name changed that day to Purdy Pony; and I was the happiest girl in the world. I had my very own pony.

My obsession with horses began in the fall of 1988 and has only gotten worse as the years go by. Today I have five of my very own ponies & for some reason, the number keeps going up. I will be riding my 5yr old futurity colt, Diggstown, tonight. Digger has been in my herd since he was 2 and I have really enjoyed helping him transition into the horse he is today.

Thank you to the HEI staff for putting on such great races & good luck to all the competitors this weekend Ü
