Hello -

I just wanted to send a note of thanks for putting on such a great race last weekend.  You have no idea of how much we enjoyed being there and running.  Your race was a very positive event and it was just amazing and we definitely plan on coming back for the July race.  I really feel I got what I paid for......granted I did not win a check, but the atmosphere and people were what made up for it.  Your entire staff was great and I really  liked the announcer.  She was not obnoxious, too loud or over zealous in her announcing during the event, and she was so friendly when we got a chance to talk to her when she was not announcing.

I did not hear anyone complain about anything, it was such a nice change from what we are put through here in our own state.  Let me put it this way.......its nothing but rudeness and negativity, especially if you are not within certain "clicks" of people.  Atmospheres like that have caused me to boycott certain barrel races/producers in my home state.  There was a big race here and they barely broke over 170 entries in the open over the course of the weekend.  I know their added money was not as great as yours (honestly, I don't think the added money was really there because the pay out just does not add up), but for there not to be very many people to show up at barrel race that is only an hour away for most barrel racers is pretty sad.  I traveled over 450 miles to your event and don't regret it in the least......not one single mile.

And the ground.....holy cats that ground was AWESOME!!!  I mean for it to hold up for over 300+ hard running barrel racers says A LOT about you and the ground crew.  I would have to say your event was every bit as good as the BBR finals.....and as you know, that was a HUGE event.  I do have to say the stalls at the Blackhawk arena there in Salina were far better than the BBR....my horse was a happy guy there.  And that's another thing......my horse was even more relaxed and comfortable there.

The Dutch Oven Dinner was soooooo good, and what a great way to get to know people.....sit down relax, have a great meal, talk and get to know each other.  The concession folks were wonderful!!!  And what a great idea to have veggie snacks....I have never seen a concession stand offer fresh veggie snacks with ranch dressing and cheese.  Very good for those of us trying to eat healthier.

So again thank you, thank you, thank you to you and your team of people for putting on such a great event, very professional and fun atmosphere.....don't change anything.......well except add more money if you can.....hahahaa!!!
